History
Born in 1991, the St. Jacob's Choir has successively
enlarged itself thanks to the introduction of various new musicians.
For some years, it has made many concerts with a repertory composed of unpublished
for Italy musical pieces composed by famous American and English authors, with
a particular regard to Gospel and Spiritual songs.
This repertory, besides being very original, allows the listening of sonorities
which are very up to date.
The choir has participated to many concerts and reviews in various Italian regions
and abroad (France), having success everywhere and showing it's interesting musical
enrichment, characterized by the new modern songs mentioned above.
It has recently executed Gospel Concerts with the American singers Cheryl Porter
and Linda Wesley, and the record of a CD "Joyful"
with pieces taken from its new repertory.
Every year, between February and March, it organizes a Choral Review in which
many choirs from other Tuscan and Italian towns take part. |
